System Requirements for Cogmed Working Memory Training

What you need to get started is access to a personal computer with a disc drive, speakers and an Internet connection. Operating system

  • Windows XP (recommended)
  • Windows Vista

Hardware (Windows XP)

  • Processor running at 1 GHz or higher
  • 256 MB of RAM or more
  • 150 MB of available hard disk space
  • Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution monitor
  • 3D Hardware accelerator with DirectX 9.0c support, min 32 MB memory
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • Mouse or other pointing device
  • Soundcard and speakers or headphones

Hardware (Vista)

  • Same system requirements as Microsoft recommends for Windows Vista, i.e. if your computer is capable of running Windows Vista, it's capable of running Cogmed software. For detailed system requirement instruction please consult your Microsoft Software vendor or microsoft Internet/web
  • Internet connection
  • Web browser with Adobe Flash player 9.0 or higher (can be downloaded from adobe)
  • Adobe Reader 8.0 or higher (can be downloaded from adobe)

Apple computer support

  • Cogmed supports running Cogmed training software on Apple computers using Boot Camp. If you have a configured and working Windows XP or Vista system on your Mac using Boot Camp you are free to run Cogmed Software with full support. Cogmed will however not be able to provide support for configuring OS X, Boot Camp, Windows or the internet connection on your Apple computer.   • Cogmed supports running Cogmed Training Web on OS X with Safari or any other web browser with Adobe Flash player 9.0 or later installed.
  • VMWare Fusion - Cogmed training software is "known to work" on VMWare Fusion 1.1 or later and Windows XP SP2. 3D support is however in a experimental stage in VMWare Fusion and therefore no official support from Cogmed will be given.
  • Adobe Reader 8.0 or higher (can be downloaded from adobe)
